New Insights in Web Standards

Workshop  By Molly HolzschlagDay 1, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Web standards make our life easier. Understanding and following them helps us produce cleaner code, faster pages, and simple-to-maintain web sites.

Yet the current standards of HTML and CSS are feeling a little dated. The web has evolved and these standards, though very helpful, can hold us back from taking advantage of state-of-the-art capabilities.

New standards are on the way. Dubbed the Open Web, there’s much to look forward to in the HTML5 and CSS3 standards. They’ll help us integrate modern, multimodal techniques in the web-based content we develop and design.

What better way is there to get an in-depth look at these new standards than from the best tour guide on the planet, Molly Holzschlag. After spending a full day with Molly, you’ll come away with exciting insights on the standards to come and how you can get ready for them today.
